The Roche LightCycler II is a real-time PCR thermal cycler that allows for the monitoring of the amplification of 32 PCR products simultaneously. It features six different detection channels for multiplex experiments. The LightCyclerSoftware 4.1 collects fluorescence data from all six channels at each cycle and displays it immediately, enabling you to terminate PCR runs early if signal levels are adequate. The combination of LightCyclerCapillaries and air-driven temperature control allows for quick and efficient thermal cycling.
