Product Information

The Thermo Dionex ICS-Series VWD Variable Wavelength Detector, model 070220, from 2023, is an instrumental asset for laboratories engaged in ion chromatography (IC) and liquid chromatography (LC) applications. This detector, featuring a dual-beam, variable-wavelength optical system with a range from 190 nm to 900 nm, employs deuterium and tungsten lamps for UV and visible light detection. Though this unit performs well during power-on tests, comprehensive testing proves unfeasible without the Dionex Chromeleon software. Ideal for research environments, it can integrate with Dionex ICS systems or serve for component reclamation or refurbishment. Note: Analytical flow cell and Chromeleon software not provided, yet computer integration is viable for systems running Windows XP or Vista.

***The instrument powers on cleanly with no self-test errors, and all front-panel keys respond. Full analytical verification was not possible because Chromeleon™ control software was unavailable. Please note: the analytical flow cell is NOT included. Cosmetics are very good overall, showing only light wear and a slightly warped lower-right panel that does not affect operation. Ideal for integration into an existing ion-chromatography system, parts harvesting, or refurbishment projects.
